Right from the word go, Rowdy Crowd Drinkware has had a clear focus on nil waste and achieving a zero carbon footprint for our products.
At every level we have considered our impact and use of energy and materials.
On an individual product level for our customers, there is no waste packaging or excess plastic rubbish as each cup is only wrapped in tissue paper then placed either into cardboard boxes or their own long-term dust-proof drawstring storage bags. Plus our entire range of cups are marked as 100% recyclable as a PP7 category material and can be put through your local recycling centre.
At Rowdy Crowd’s on-farm headquarters we have set our business up to be totally off-grid. The office is 100% solar operated, all water is captured, stored and used from the roof and we have gone one step further to offset any carbon footprint by creating fenced off areas on our farm which are then being regenerated by the planting of native trees, shrubs and woodland areas. The thousands of trees we have and plan to plant will be putting carbon from the atmosphere back into the soil over the next 30-50 years.
Our plan began in 2020 with the fencing off of 11 ha of land around a wetland and large farm dam. This is where we planted 800 trees and shrubs in May 2020. In 2021 we fenced off a further 15 ha up the same water coarse and planted out 1,200 trees and shrubs. 2024 we are planting a further 1600 trees and shrubs in three new areas. We will keep updating images to show you our progress as we go. The Australian National University have spent three years conducting birdlife studies of these revegetation areas as well as the return of the frog and reptile populations with significantly positive results.

800 of the 1,200 trees planted in 2021. Just waiting for the rip lines to dry out enough so we could plant. We looked after these trees for 3 months waiting for the rain to ease up! Eucalyptus, melaleucas, calistemons & acacias.
The trees have saw significant growth over the past 12 months thanks to some good rain.
This tree was planted May 2022 and this photo taken July 2024. This Argyle Apple gum would be over 12' high. We can't believe the growth we have seen.
On a production level our Chinese-based manufacturer operates to the highest of standards. I personally visited the factory in 2018 and was extremely impressed. It is jointly owned by an American company and operates in accordance to American standards with plenty of holidays and good wages. The factory is light, well ventilated, extremely clean, neat and organised. Workers are working under ideal conditions in terms of OH&S, hours, factory conditions, plant and machinery safety.
